Around us

During your stay you will discover that Via Pergolesi is a perfect place to visit Naples.

The first thing you’ll see will be the sea, so why not start from there? You can begin your stroll from the Fountain of the Siren Parthenope in Piazza Sannazzaro (just a 4-minute walk from Ad Maiora Boutique Home) and then walk along the famous Naples waterfront towards Castel Dell’Ovo. You can choose to rent a bike, an electric scooter, a playful ‘risciò,’ or simply walk: the promenade is about 2.5 km long, but you can also stop halfway at Villa Comunale and enjoy both the sea view and the greenery of the park.

Along the waterfront, both towards Castel Dell’Ovo and towards Posillipo, you can find all kinds of places to eat in Naples, especially pizzerias and seafood restaurants. If you have a sweet tooth, you can’t miss the famous Chalet Ciro and its renowned “graffa” eaten just steps from the sea!

For getting around and learning a bit of the city’s history, we recommend moving just 700 meters and heading towards Mergellina Station, a beautiful and majestic Liberty-style building dating back to the early 20th century. Its first run was in 1925: since then, it has connected this area to the rest of the city (National Museum, historic center, Phlegraean area) and to other beautiful destinations in Campania, such as Caserta and Pompeii. If you’re planning a day trip, you’ll also find Porto Sannazzaro, the Mergellina pier where you can embark for other wonderful destinations such as Ischia and the Aeolian Islands.

Another splendid point of interest in Naples is Leopardi’s tomb, located in the ‘Parco Vergiliano,’ behind the Church of Piedigrotta. Inside, you’ll find a tomb that, according to tradition and myths, belongs to Virgil, as well as the evocative Crypta Neapolitana, dating back to the 1st century BC. You can reach it in just a 5-minute walk from Ad Maiora Boutique Home.

If you’re looking for refreshment, we’ll immediately point you towards the sea in Naples: a 15-minute walk, along the final stretch of the Lungomare, after a nice breakfast at one of the chalets, continue towards the climb of Posillipo. Along the very first stretch, you’ll find some irresistible bathing establishments such as Bagni Elena, Bagni Ideal, the communal beach of Monache, but also romantic views like Palazzo Donn’Anna and the most famous starred restaurant in Naples, Palazzo Petrucci.
